Mosser Collie Color List

golden opalene collieUnofficial list of Mosser collie colors, grouped by color family, with notes. Many colors were also manufactured in a satin “frosted” finish.

There’s a lot of conflicting color information online. Mosser unfortunately did not keep extensive records and there is disagreement even among long time collectors and former dealers as to the correct color names . Where a corresponding color exists, other Mosser glass figures made during the same time period, like the “Jenny” dolls, clowns or the Sitting Cats can be helpful in identifying collie colors. There are lots of photos of Jenny and Josh figurines and the various Clowns to be found, and the color labeling is more consistent.
